Bj Bearden

Mr. BJ Bearden, age 47, of Cassville, passed away on Sunday June 11, 2023.


BJ was born on December 24, 1975, in Duluth, Ga. BJ will always be his moms favorite Christmas present. She will always remember him as a strong, independent man who always knew a little bit about everything. To his older sister, Penny, BJ will always be a little boy in a wagon waiting for her to pull him everywhere. To his younger sister, Wendy, BJ will always be a man who seemingly had no fear.


BJ was a proud man and good with his hands. If something was broken, he could fix it. He valued time with his family, fishing, and good ole southern cooking. BJ took pride in owning Bearden's Tree Service.


BJ is preceded in death by his father, Rickey Bearden; stepfather, Ric Martin; Grandparents: Lon and Bernice Bearden, Bud and Louise Davis; aunts and uncles: Larry Davis, Bobby Davis, Wesley Davis, Hazel O'tinger, Elaine Davis, Lynn Davis, Vonzell and Karen Bearden; cousins Tony McRee, Erskin McRee, Billy Davis.


Survivors include his mother, Cathy Davis; his sisters, Penny Miller of Calhoun and Wendy Bearden of Cartersville; his son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Mandi Bearden; his grandson, Beaux; special partner in crime, Brody Blackmon, several nieces and nephews and many loving cousins. BJ is loved and missed by his uncle and aunts: Chuck Davis, Diane Davis, Dorothy Jenkins, Tina Davis and Amy Davis.


A Graveside service will be held on Friday June 16th, 2023, at 4 PM at Oakhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Rydal. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers include, Bobby Davis, A.J Mulkey, Nick Davis, Wayland Allen, Bud Davis, and Shane Parker.


The family will receive friends on Friday June 16th from 1 PM until 3 PM at the funeral home.
