Calvin "Edwin" Goforth

Mr. Calvin "Edwin" Goforth, age 60 of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, at Evergreen Nursing and Rehab Center in Rome, GA.

Mr. Goforth was born in Calhoun, Georgia, on January 7th, 1964 to Alvin Luther Goforth and Florence Lois Greeson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Bell; and a brother, Dale Goforth. Mr. Goforth was a mechanic by trade and known as a hard worker that could be found tearing apart and rebuilding motors. His knowledge of small engines made most people refer to him as a mechanical genius.

Survivors include his son, Lucas Goforth; one sister, Sissy (Cecil) Beggs; three grandchildren, Nathaniel, Hunter, and Levi; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, along with his many friends.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Goforth was cremated, and no formal services are planned at this time.
