Mrs. Clara 'Cam' Bryson Sailors, age 83 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday May 24th, 2023, at Advent Health Redmond.
Mrs. Sailors was born in Rome, Ga on July 26th, 1939, to the late Donald Sawyer Bryson and Grace Agee Bryson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Sailors. Mrs. Sailors was a homemaker for many years, and later worked for Beaulieu Industries until she retired. Mrs. Sailors was a true example of what it means to be a Christian. She loved the Lord, reading, travelling, crab legs, good restaurants and her church. Mrs. Sailors was an original founding member of Heritage Baptist Church in Calhoun. She was a mother to all, she loved her family, and was known as Grandma "Cam" or "Maw Maw" to everyone.
Survivors include her two daughters, Beth Whitener Moss (Buddy) of Dalton, and Mary Whitener Pettit of Calhoun; three sons, Randy Whitener of Dalton, Jay Sailors (Elise) of Montgomery, Ala., and Shannon Sailors (Angel) of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Mary Alice Bancroft (Steve); very special friend, Celina Branton; two nephews, Bryce and Weston Bancroft; nine grandchildren, Tripp, Justin, Sawyer, Bryson, Alexandria, Anna, Matthew, Sydney, and Dylan; four great-grandchildren, Deven, Annabelle, Jace, and Brooklyn.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 3rd, 2023, at 11 AM at Heritage Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Parrott and Rev. Bryson Frix officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that donations be made to Heritage Baptist Church in Mrs. Sailors memory.
The family will receive friends on Saturday June 3rd from 10 AM until 11 AM at the church.
