Mr. James David Cowart, age 62 of Rome, passed away on Monday February 12th, 2024, at his residence.
Mr. Cowart was born in Glasgow, Montana on December 28th, 1961, to the late James Carl Cowart and Renate Weiss Cowart. Mr. Cowart was retired from Self Recycling as a truck driver. He loved the outdoors, his family, and enjoyed being the family comedian. Mr. Cowart was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the McFall Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Charlus “Charlie” Cowart of Rome; three sons, Josh, Matthew, and Nicholas Cowart all of Cartersville; one step-son, Noah Farmer; two step-daughters, Shelby and Savannah Farmer; his mother, Renate Weiss Cowart; two brothers, Dean Cowart of Rydal and Steven Cowart of Dallas; one sister, Tammy Cowart of Rydal; mother of his children, Angela Bailey Cowart; nine grandchildren, Christian, Hannah, Stannis, Zachariah, Bailey, and Alexis Cowart, Brently Martin, and Maverick and Walter Davis; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Cowart has been cremated and a Celebration of Life is being planned and will be held at McFall Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Thomas officiating.
