James Jordan Mitchell

Mr. James “Jordan” Mitchell, age 32 of Rome, Ga., passed away on Saturday November 4th , 2023 from injuries sustained in an accident.

Jordan was born in Rome, Ga., on September 11th, 1991, to Rodney Mack Mitchell and Angela Susan Leker. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James, and Elsie Shelly; grandfather, Ricky Mask. Jordan was a mechanic and was a member of The Little Flock Independent Baptist Church. He was full of life and was a family man. He loved his children and was a wonderful father. Jordan was the life of the party anywhere he went. He enjoyed being with his friends and riding his motorcycles.

Survivors include his children, Jordan “Bo” Mitchell, Kyler Wright, and soon to be, Maelynn James Mitchell; fiancé, Kelsi Maynard; bonus daughter, Kynzli Parris; bonus sons, Jaxson and Dawson Weathers; his father, Rodney Mack Mitchell; mother, Angela Susan Leker (Jason); one brother, Cruiz Mitchell; one sister, Ashley Mack Mitchell; four nieces, Lilly Mack Mitchell, Mattie Mack Treglown, Gracie Lucille Treglown, and Carleigh Green; one nephew, JR. Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Jackie Mitchell Canada and Marion Pritchett; a countless number of close friends in the community.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 18th, 2023, at 2 PM at his home, 30 Acorn Rd. SE Rome, Ga., with Rev. Larry Bohannon officiating. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers include, Rodney Mitchell, Cruiz Mitchell, Jeremy Hibberts, Lee Hibberts, Dustin Edwards, Jason Womack, and Baylee Treglown. Honorary pallbearers include Bo Mitchell, Jr. Mitchell, Jaxson and Dawson Weathers. Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 PM on Saturday.

The family will receive friends on Friday November 17th from 5 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.
