Janice Pauline Dodd

Mrs. Janice Pauline Evans Dodd, age 80 of the Shannon Community, passed away on Monday, May 6^th, 2024, at a local hospital. 

Mrs. Dodd was born in Floyd County to the late Russell Evans and the late Dolly Patterson Evans. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Billy Dodd. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Dodd was employed by Galey and Lord for many years. She loved her grandchildren, playing with her cats, and watching her “soaps”, especially General Hospital. 

Survivors include her two daughters, Tammy Fuller (Tommy) of Calhoun and Johnna Clonts (Gary) of Rome; two brothers, Dennis Evans (Janie) and Alan Evans (Belinda); two sisters, Phil Chandler and Joan Elliott; two grandchildren, Joshua Witt and Tosha Long; three great-grandchildren, Beau, Hank, and Waylon; several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 8^th, 2024, at 12:30PM at Morning View Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8^th from 11 AM until 12 PM at the funeral home.
