John Wayne Dennis

Mr. John Wayne Dennis, age 61 of Lindale, GA., passed away on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Dennis was born in Clanton, Alabama, on January 23rd, 1963, to the late John Elbert Dennis and Emma Christine Patterson Hicks. Mr. Dennis was a roofer by trade and loved his profession. Those that knew him would say " He loved to work!", and did so for over 30 years. There was one thing he loved more than work, and that was spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

Survivors include three sons, John "Wesley" (Elizabeth) Heidrich of Chattanooga, TN, Devyn (Taylor) Gibson of Calhoun, GA, and Dennis (Destiny) Hall of Rome, GA; twelve grandchildren, Noah Heidrich, Gabriel Heidrich, David Heidrich, Sophia Heidrich, Bayland Hall, Zane Shelley, Easton Hall, Camdyn Hall, Elias Hall, Dayton Hall, Lennox Hall, Bryer Gibson; four brothers, James (Mona) Dennis, Donald (Christina) Dennis, Johnny Steel, Ronald (Misty) Steel; one sister, Abby Dennis.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 11th, 2024 at 1PM in the Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Home with Rev. Jackson Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Gentleman serving as pallbearers include Todd Hall, Levi Dennis, Timothy Johnson, Steven Forsyth, Coby Pearson, and Eric Guzman. Honorary pallbearers include Noah Heidrich, Easton Hall, and Bryer Gibson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 11th, 2024 from 11AM until 1 PM at the funeral home.
