Joseph "Joe" Hughes Hudson

Mr. Joseph "Joe" Hughes Hudson, age 82 of Rome, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, August 21st, 2024 at his residence. 

Mr. Hudson was born in Donaldsonville, Georgia on August 30th, 1941. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hudson is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Mary and Linda Hudson. Mr. Hudson was a daredevil who loved fishing, hunting, driving his truck, being in the water on his Waverunner, walking along the beach, watching old movies, playing cards, and riding his Goldwing motorcycle. More than anything, he loved telling you directions "his way", which was usually "out of the way". 

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Deborah "Debbie" Hudson; five sons, David Hudson, Steve Stewart, Wesley (Michelle) Staney, Corey (Angelique) Staney, and Terry Hodges; five daughters, Sherry Jo (Tony) Wilson, Karen Stewart, Jodie Walker, Deana Hodges, and Denise Scarbourgh; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Wanda Finley; brother-in-law, Randy Turner; sister-in-law, Diana Terry; special friends, Genny and Scott Whittington. 

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Hudson has been cremated and a memorial service is being planned for a later date.
