Kenneth Don Shedd

Mr. Kenneth Don Shedd, age 76 of Cedar Bluff, Ala., passed away on Monday July 31st, 2023, at Atrium Health Floyd following a period of declining health.

Mr. Shedd was born in Cedartown, Ga on October 30th, 1946, to the late O.B Shedd and the late Cora Holtzclaw Shedd. In addition to his parents, Mr. Shedd is preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby, and Al Spratling; three sisters, Bea Howell, Barbara Hardin, and Glenda Malone; granddaughter, Brittany Rosser. Mr. Shedd was a veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps. He loved fishing, camping, racing, and any type of sport, especially Alabama Football. Mr. Shedd loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Evie Atkins Shedd; two sons, Wayne Colburn (Tara), and Sean Blankenship both of Rome; one daughter, Lisa Hicks (William) of Cedar Bluff; two brothers, Ronnie Shedd (Pam), and Ricky Shedd (Sandra); five grandchildren, Kym Gravitt, Rachel Warren (Logan), Sydney and Willow Colburn; five great-grandchildren, and another great-grandchild on the way; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 5th, 2023, at 1 PM from the Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Home with Bro. Ryan Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday August 5th from 11 AM until 1 PM at the funeral home.
