Linda Sue Casey

Ms. Linda Sue Casey, age 83 of Rome, Ga., passed away on Sunday October 29th, 2023, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ms. Casey was born in Murray County, Ga., on December 5th, 1939, to the late Robert Rogers and the late Mae Watters Rogers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Glenda Bolton, Cinda Thompson, and Margie Shipp; three brothers, Jack, Bill, and Marshall Dixon. Ms. Casey was a retired caregiver and was a member of Sherwood Forest Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two daughters, Misty, and Melanie Stringer; three grandchildren, Whitney Mills (Ricky), Harley Stringer (Sierra), and Cody Garrison; four great-grandchildren, Colton Mills, Harley Jr., Noah, and Paisley Stringer; two sisters, Brenda Bullen (Dale), and Barbara Wood (Henry); one brother, Aster Bob Rogers; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 1st, 2023, at 2 PM at Sherwood Forest Baptist Church with Rev(s). Dr. Talmadge Barnes, Chris Hayes, and Matt Green officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers include Cody Garrison, Harley Stringer, Ricky Mills, Chad Casey, Tom White, Larry Dixon, and Chuck Rogers.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday November 1st from 12:30 PM until 2 PM at the church.
