Mr. Mark LaWayne Perry

Mr. Mark LaWayne Perry, age 64 of Shannon, Ga., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 9th, 2025. 

Mr. Perry was born in Floyd County on September 17th, 1960, a son of the late Larry Wayne Perry and the late Mary Jo Stansell Perry. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Stansell. Mr. Perry loved the outdoors, especially trout fishing. He enjoyed camping and listening to music. Mr. Perry was of the Methodist faith. 

Survivors include his son, Jacob Perry of Rome; one grandson, Aiden Perry; one brother, Chris Perry and his wife Kathy of Armuchee; two sisters, April Morrow and her husband Stanley of Rome and Jill Waddell and her husband Rodney of Rome; his girlfriend, Angie Earwood; special nephew, Cody Perry (Emi); several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 from 6 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
